Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. Warm 1 cup of milk until steaming, add yeast and stir gently.
  2. Combine warm milk, 1 egg, 1/4 cup softened butter, 1/4 cup sugar, and 3 cups flour in a bowl; mix to form a sticky dough.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Proofing
  1. Place dough in oiled bowl, cover with towel, and let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled.
Filling Preparation
  1. Mix 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup ube jam, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon cinnamon until smooth.
Rolling
  1. Flatten dough to rectangle, spread ube filling evenly, leaving a border.
Cutting Rolls
  1. Roll dough into a log, pinch edges to seal, and cut into 9 equal pieces.
  2. Place rolls in greased baking pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour 1/2 cup heavy cream over risen rolls.
  2. Bake for 21-23 minutes until golden brown.
Frosting Preparation
  1. Beat together cream cheese and butter, gradually add sugar and vanilla.
Serving
  1. Spread frosting over warm rolls and serve.
