Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet, pour in 2 tablespoons of olive oil and heat over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until browned, breaking it apart as needed.
  3. Mix in 1 chopped onion and 4 minced garlic cloves into the browned beef and sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add 2 cups of broccoli florets, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (if using), and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, along with 1/4 cup of beef broth or water.
  5. Cover the skillet and let everything simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the broccoli is tender.
  6. Mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water to create a slurry and stir it into the dish for 2 minutes until thickened.
  7. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and add grated ginger, stir to combine, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve the stir-fry over cooked rice or quinoa, allowing the grains to soak up the sauce.
