- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat your grill to medium-high. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Brush a light layer of olive oil on top of the naan flatbread. Spread about half a cup of pizza sauce evenly over the surface, reaching all the edges.
- Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Crumble spicy Italian sausage over the cheese, and add dollops of ricotta cheese.
- Sprinkle kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper over the assembled toppings. If desired, add crushed red pepper flakes.
- Bake for about 12 minutes or grill for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the crust turns golden brown.
- Mix honey with hot sauce in a bowl. Drizzle this mixture over the pizza after removal from heat.
- Sprinkle fresh basil leaves over the pizza if desired. Slice and serve immediately.
