- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream (or mayonnaise), dill, and kosher salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Slice the sandwich bread into even, square pieces. Spread the herbed cream cheese mixture on one side of each bread slice.
- Slice the English cucumber into thin rounds, about 1/8 inch thick, for consistent layering.
- Layer the cucumber slices over half of the bread slices, then place the remaining bread slices on top, spread side down.
- Trim off the crusts and cut the assembled sandwiches into quarters.
- Arrange on a serving platter and garnish with dill or thin cucumber slices. Chill for about 15 minutes before serving.
