Preparation Steps
- Warm 1 cup of whole milk until lukewarm. Sprinkle yeast over it and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt, then gradually mix in the yeast mixture until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth, then let rise for 1-2 hours.
- Meanwhile, mix filling ingredients and prepare the filling.
- After rising, roll the dough out into a rectangle. Spread softened butter and sprinkle the filling over it.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces. Arrange in a greased baking pan.
- Allow the rolls to rise for another 15-20 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F.
- Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly in the pan.
- For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth, then add powdered sugar and vanilla, adjusting consistency with milk.
- Drizzle frosting over warm rolls and serve.
