For the Brussels Sprouts
  • 1 pound Brussels Sprouts Trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Can substitute with avocado oil
For the Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup Honey is a vegan alternative
  • 1/4 cup Orange Juice Freshly squeezed is ideal
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can also be used
For the Cranberries
  • 1 cup Fresh Cranberries Dried cranberries can be used with reduced syrup

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and slice each in half.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, maple syrup, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Toss the halved Brussels sprouts in the glaze.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread glazed sprouts in a single layer.
  6. Roast for 20-25 minutes, adding cranberries halfway through.
  7. Remove from oven and drizzle any remaining glaze over the sprouts before serving.
