Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks
  1. Begin by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat and adding a generous drizzle of olive oil. Allow the oil to shimmer.
  2. Add sliced onions and green bell peppers to the skillet, stirring occasionally for 3-5 minutes until they become tender and slightly translucent.
  3. Push the sautéed vegetables to the side and introduce the ground beef to the center. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once the ground beef is cooked, sprinkle in garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir well for 2 minutes.
  5. Lower the heat to medium-low, distribute the provolone cheese over the beef mixture, and cover for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
  6. Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise to create a pocket for the filling and arrange them on a serving platter.
  7. Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture into each prepared hoagie roll, allowing the melty cheese to hug the filling.
  8. Optionally, toast the assembled rolls in the oven for a few minutes until golden brown before serving.
