Step-by-Step Instructions for Chocolate Pumpkin Bread
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5 inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, water, oil or almond butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just combined to form a thick batter.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and optionally sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
