Ingredients
  

For the Cannelloni
  • 1 box Cannelloni Shells can swap in manicotti if preferred
  • 1.5 lbs Ground Beef opt for lean beef for a healthier twist
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil essential for sautéing
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper finely chopped
  • 1 cup Mushrooms chopped
For the Spinach Filling
  • 8 oz Fresh Spinach cooked and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
For the Sauce and Toppings
  • 2 jars Marinara Sauce 650 mL each
  • 2.5 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese shredded
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Parsley for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with marinara sauce.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add one tablespoon of olive oil and let it warm. Sauté garlic, onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cooked spinach and 1 cup of marinara sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Fill each cannelloni shell with the beef mixture.
  6. Arrange filled cannelloni in the baking dish and pour remaining marinara sauce over them. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes
