Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the low-sodium soy sauce, honey, freshly grated ginger, and lemon juice until well combined.
- Place the cod fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour half of the prepared marinade over them. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes.
- Take a greased baking sheet and arrange the fillets in a single layer. Brush the remaining marinade over the top.
- Slide the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake the Ginger Soy Glazed Cod for about 12 to 15 minutes.
- While the cod is baking, heat a small skillet over medium heat. Add the sesame seeds and toast them until golden brown and fragrant.
- Once the cod is finished baking, transfer the fillets to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds on top.
