Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Trim off the ends of each green bean and rinse them under cold water. Ensure they are dry before sautéing.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Allow the oil to heat for about 30 seconds.
  3. Add the unsalted butter to the skillet and let it melt until it bubbles.
  4. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until lightly golden, stirring continuously.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until tender and golden brown.
  6. Stir in the prepared green beans, seasoning with salt and pepper. Toss well to coat.
  7. Cover the skillet and let the mixture steam for 5-7 minutes until the green beans are tender yet crisp.
  8. Once green beans are tender, add remaining tablespoon of butter and stir until melted.
  9. Pour in lemon juice, mix well, taste, and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  10. Remove from heat and check for desired tenderness. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley if desired.
