Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by peeling and deveining one pound of fresh shrimp. Chop the shrimp into small, uniform pieces and set aside in a medium mixing bowl.
- In the bowl with the chopped shrimp, add 1 cup of breadcrumbs, 1 beaten egg, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, thinly sliced green onions, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a plate.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F. Test with a small piece of the shrimp mixture.
- Fry the shrimp balls in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Ensure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Remove the shrimp balls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
