  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate Chips Dark chocolate can be used.
  • 1 cup Caramel Flavored Chips Butterscotch chips can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt Flakes For sprinkling on top.
  • 1/4 cup Caramel Sauce or Dulce de Leche Optional drizzle.

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a stand mixer, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in the chocolate and caramel chips.
  6. Drop rounded portions of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes before baking.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until edges are set but centers are slightly soft. Cool for 5 minutes on sheets.
  9. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired after cooling.
