  • 2 whole Limes Juiced and zested

  • 2 tbsp Fish Sauce Substitute with soy sauce if vegetarian
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce Can replace fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar Adjust or swap with honey if desired
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger Grated
  • 1 whole Red Chili Finely sliced
For Garnishing
  • 1 bunch Fresh Cilantro Chopped

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse the white fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, granulated sugar, and grated ginger until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Pour the marinade over the fish fillets, ensuring each piece is well coated. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Transfer the marinated fish to a steaming dish and scatter the sliced red chili and half of the cilantro on top.
  5. Place the steaming dish in the preheated steamer without covering it. Steam for about 10-12 minutes, or until the fillets are opaque and flake easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from the steamer and garnish generously with the remaining cilantro. Serve hot.
