Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 415°F (215°C).
- Line a baking dish with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- In a medium bowl, combine baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, black pepper, paprika, and dried oregano and thyme. Stir until evenly blended.
- Pat skin-on chicken thighs dry with paper towels, loosen the skin gently, and place in the prepared baking dish, skin side down.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the underside of the chicken thighs, then flip them over so the skin side is facing up and season the top.
- Dot the tops of the chicken thighs with small pieces of butter or drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Once baked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
