Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Flatten the chicken breasts to an even ½ inch thickness using a meat mallet and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, flour, garlic powder, and oregano. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Whisk together the eggs and milk or water until smooth to create the egg wash.
  4. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, then dip into the egg wash, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes and spray the basket with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry the chicken for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through for even browning.
  7. Check the internal temperature of the chicken; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove the chicken from the air fryer, let it rest for 5 minutes, slice, and serve.
