Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add diced onions and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
  4. Sprinkle 1/3 cup of flour over the mixture, stirring to combine and cook for one minute.
  5. Slowly whisk in 2 cups of chicken broth and 1 cup of milk, stirring until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of dried thyme, then fold in 2 cups of shredded chicken and 2 cups of frozen mixed vegetables.
  7. Spread the filling evenly in the greased baking dish and arrange the biscuit dough on top.
