Brownie Base
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, melted butter, and melted chocolate chips.

- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt.

- Pour the brownie mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.

Cheesecake Layer
- In another mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

- Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.

- Spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie base evenly.

- Pour cherry pie filling on top of the cheesecake layer.

- Bake for 40 minutes or until the edges look set. Let cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
