Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and place a cast-iron skillet inside to heat up for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine large eggs, all-purpose flour, milk, melted butter, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and free of lumps. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven and add more melted butter, swirling it to coat the bottom and sides.
  4. Pour the rested batter into the greased skillet, then sprinkle sharp cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon on top.
  5. Return the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes without opening the door.
  6. Remove the skillet from the oven, let it cool briefly, then garnish with parsley and chives, and optionally drizzle with honey before serving.
